ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Naval Academy Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk and Associate Athletic Director/SWA Loretta Lamar have been selected to prestigious NCAA committees announced today by the NCAA.

Gladchuk has been appointed to the NCAA Leadership Council. The council will be instrumental in setting the Division I legislative agenda and advises the NCAA regarding major legislative issues. The primary responsibility of the council is to identify those issues on the horizon that can impact Division I and intercollegiate athletics as a whole and will spend much of it's time planning for the future of Division I.

Lamar will serve on the NCAA Academic Cabinet, which develops and proposes regulations consistent with the vision, mission and goals of the Division I membership. The cabinet strives to maintain integrity in intercollegiate athletics, to support the academic mission of member institutions and to protect the welfare of student-athletes through the advancement of appropriate legislation and policy initiatives within the Division I governance structure.
