Jon Starrett is in his eighth year at Navy, where he serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Corporate Sales.

Prior to Navy, Starrett spent 20 years working for the Cleveland Indians Baseball Club, where he ascended to the role of Vice President for Sales from 2001-04. In that role, he served as Officer of Ballclub that oversaw annual revenue generation from corporate sponsorship, luxury seating and ticketing departments. He worked his way up the organization, as he started as Manager of Season Ticket & Group Sales in 1985 before becoming Manager of Promotions & Publications. He then became a Director, first of Sales and Promotions, followed by Corporate Marketing and Sales and then Corporate Marketing and Broadcasting. He earned the role of Senior Director of Corporate Marketing and Broadcasting, in which he held that title from 1998-01.

Starrett had worked as a Public Relations Intern with the Cleveland Indians during the summers of 1984 and '85, before taking the position of Asa S. Bushnell Intern for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

Starrett earned his bachelor's degree in American Studies from Middlebury College (Vt.) in 1985. He currently resides in Annapolis with his wife, Maria, and their two children - Tommy and Julia.
