Ericson has been involved with the athletic department since 2004 when he began working with the men's lacrosse program as a midshipman. While attending the Naval Academy, Ericson earned two varsity letters in 2005 and 2006 while serving the men's lacrosse team in an administrative role.
From 2009 to 2013, Ericson worked as a government contractor in Maryland, while staying involved in the Navy men's lacrosse program in a variety of duties on a contractual basis.
Ericson enlisted in the Marine Corps out of high school, attaining the rank of sergeant (E-5) while serving as a CH-46 Crew Chief. As an active-duty Marine in 2004, Ericson was selected to enroll at the Naval Academy and went on to earn more than 90 credit hours as an aeronautical engineering major at the Academy, but was medically separated (honorable) in 2007.
Ericson completed his bachelor's degree at the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala.
Ericson and his wife, Tricia, reside on Kent Island.
