Ask the AD
![]() |
I have really enjoyed personally answering many of the emails that have been sent to me over the past several years. "Ask the AD" has turned out to be a very effective way to communicate with our fans. Even though we no longer e-mail out a mass list of questions and answers, my staff and I are still answering every question that we receive.
If for some chance we missed your inquiry, please send it back to me for an immediate response. When the Navy family has a clear understanding of what's going on, it works to all of our advantage.
Everyone is really upbeat about the prospects for another banner year.
The 2011-12 season was a banner year for Navy athletics as the Midshipmen won the Patriot League’s Presidents’ Cup for the first time in school history. The Cup is awarded to the member institution with the highest cumulative sports point total for its Patriot League standings in sponsored men's and women's sports.
Overall, Navy sports teams won 65 percent of its contests in 2011-12, produced seven All-American, five Academic All-Americans, 18 conference championships, 13 conference athletes of the year and 11 conference coaches of the year.
Navy won the overall (20-12) and Star (17-5) series over Army and has now won the overall series seven years in a row and is 15-0-1 in the Star series over the last 16 years against the Black Knights.
Navy got it done in the classroom as well, ranking fourth in the country among schools with FBS football programs in graduation rates at 96 percent.
Don't hesitate to write me for any reason. We are all better off when everyone knows "what's up" at the Academy.
