Navy Qualifies for ICSA Match Racing Nationals

Navy places second at the Intrepid Trophy to earn a spot at nationals.

As a Freshman: Brittney sailed in 15 events during her first year of college sailing, as a skipper, a crew, and a laser sailor ... she also sailed in both the ICSA Women’s National Championship and the ICSA Team Race National Championship, where Navy finished 18th and fifth, respectively ... her best finishes included a victory at the Prosser Trophy, the MAISA team race conference championship, and a second-place finish at the America Trophy, the MAISA fleet racing conference championship.

Prior to Navy: Grew up in Middletown, New Jersey ... graduated from the Marine Academy of Science and Technology in 2016 ... was a four-year high school varsity lacrosse starter in addition to sailing for Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club ... sailed mostly Lasers, J24s, and Comets ... won the 2015 Comet Youth Nationals while sailing with her brother Tom ... daughter of Debbie Slook and Robert Slook.
