Navy Intercollegiate Sailing Competes at Three Regattas

Mids earn three third-place finishes.

As a Sophomore: Glenn has stepped up as very competitive heavy crew and has traveled to all of the top of events where he has patiently given his support to his teammates on shore as well as in the boat. Glenn has competed in a total of seven events as a sophomore with a top performance of first of 18 at the ICSA National Championship Semi-finals as well as second of 16 at the North Fall #2 Regatta at SUNY Maritime.

As a Freshman: This season, Glenn sailed in a total of 6 regattas for the Academy as a crew. His top performances came in B division at the Owen Trophy, hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy where he finished 3rd in the 16-team field. Also of note was a 3rd place finish in B division at the New York Maritime Fall Open Regatta in the 18-team event.

Prior to Navy: Grew up on Long Island, N.Y. Had never competitively sailed before attending the academy. Wrestled and ran at Chaminade High School. Son of Stephen and Helena McKenna. Majoring in Naval Architecture.
