Mids finish third at the Charleston Spring Coed Regatta.
As a Sophomore: Michael had an impressive sophomore year stepping up as one of the top skippers on the team as well as a skipper on the "A" Team Race Team. By winning B Division at the ICSA National Championship Semi-Finals he ensured that the team would qualify for the National Championship in Austin, Texas. Michael sailed a total of 18 events as a sophomore, on top of winning B division at Semis he also finished second of 20 in B Division at the Rose Bowl regatta in Long Beach, Calif., and second of 18 in B Division at the Moody Trophy Interconfrence Regatta at Rhode Island,
As a Freshman: Michael has had an impressive year as a Freshman, sailing in a total of 12 events. He was the only freshman skipper on the "B" Team-Race Team and boasted first place finishes in A division at the 16-team Tom Curtis Regatta hosted by Georgetown University, as well as in B division at the 14-team King's Point Open. Michael also competed at the Coed National Championships as a heavy crew for B-Division skipper Clark Hayes.
Prior to Navy: Grew up sailing opti's and club 420's... captain of the Acalanes high school sailing team... wrestled freshman year... played tennis all four years
Personal: Son of Steve and Barb... brother of Megan and Lindsay... majoring in Information Technology
