As a Sophomore: Hamrick sailed in four events as a skipper in his second year representing the Naval Academy ... His best results were fourth in the Central Fall Open and seventh at the NYM Fall Open.

As a Freshman: Hamerick sailed in five events as a skipper his freshman year ... He had two top-five finishes, a fourth place at the Arrigan Memorial Regatta and a third at the Ocean Country College Fall Regatta.

Prior to Navy: Grew up in Heath, Texas ... Graduated from The Fulton School in 2014 ... Sailed out for the Rush Creek Yacht Club while growing up ... Competed nationally and internationally in Club 420s, Sunfish and MC Scows ... Also participated in track, baseball and golf ... Son of Julie and Brian Morgan ... Brother of Ellen.
