Navy Intercollegiate Sailing Competes in Three Regattas

Navy sailed at Old Dominion, Hampton and Roger Williams this past weekend.

As a Freshman: Jimmy sailed in seven events his freshman year as a skipper. He had three top-five finishes including a second place in A division at the Central Fall and a third place in B division at the David Lee Arnoff.

Prior to Navy: Grew up in Newport Beach, Calif. Graduated from Corona del Mar High School in 2014. Sailed out of Newport Harbor Yacht Club. Competed nationally and internationally in many different disciplines, including team racing, match racing and double-handed fleet racing. Son of Nick and Maureen Madigan. Father graduated from the Naval Academy in 1981 and was a member of the intercollegiate sailing team. Brother to team member Michael.
