As a Sophomore: In her sophomore year, Julie competed as a crew on the coed team in both fleet racing and on the "A" Team-Race Team. She sailed in a total of 12 events, the best of which was her performance at the Jesuit Open, where she won A division in the 9-team event.

As a Freshman: Julie also sailed in 10 events as a freshman crew. Her top performances during her freshman year was a 3rd in the Tom Noble Team Race at Washington College where she competed against 7 other teams. Also of note was a 2nd place finish in B division at the Central Fall Open.

Prior to Navy: Participated in lacrosse and field hockey throughout school... Two time Academic All-American Lacrosse player, National Honor Society President, volunteered with the Special Olympics, Handi Crafters and Habitat for Humanity, was a member of the PA Express travel lacrosse team, won High School Senior Sportsmanship Award.

Personal: Daughter of Alfred and Dawn DiGiovanni... Sister of Matthew and Haley... currently majoring in Ocean Engineering.
