Devin Laviano

As a Junior: Devin sailed in 11 events throughout his junior year and was an integral member of the "A" Team-Race Team. The highlights of his team-racing season include a third at the Ferrarone Team Race at Roger Williams University and a fifth at the Bob Bavier Team Race. In fleet racing, Devin won the Arrigan Memorial Trophy as the A division skipper.

As a Sophomore: Devin sailed 12 regattas in his sophomore year and was an integral member of the "B" Team-Race Team. His best performance on the team racing front was a 9th place finish in the 16-team, highly competitive Southern New England Team Race. Fleet racing wise, Laviano won the A division at the Jesuit Open hosted by Fordham University.

As a Freshman: In his plebe year, Devin sailed a total of 9 events. His best event as a freshman was a 2nd place finish in A division at the King's Point Dinghy Open regatta in a fleet of 14 teams.

Prior to Navy: Grew up in Bellport, NY. Ed Laviano/ Eileen McCarthy; Oceanography NY state high school hockey state champ 2008 Jr. "B" National Champ Hockey; won High School Sailing New England Feet Racing Championships (Portsmouth Abbey)
