Intercollegiate Sailors Receive All-MAISA Honors

Hall named the MAISA Women's Sailor of the Year.

As a Junior: Megan competed in 10 events her Junior Year at as a crew. She also skipped one women's Singlehanded event, and served as a crew member in match racing events. Some of her top finishes include a first place finish at the Coed Atlantic Coast Championships, second place finish at the Intrepid Trophy, third at the John Jackson Team Race and third at Navy Spring.

As a Sophomore: Megan competed in 9 events during her sophomore year as a crew in both women's and coed events. Some of her top finishes include a 2nd place finish at Navy Fall Women's, a 2nd place finish at MAISA Spring Women's Dinghy, and a 3rd place finish at the Sperry Topsider Women's National Championship.

As a Freshman: During her first year at Navy, Megan competed in 9 events as a crew. Some of her top finishes include a 2nd place finish at the Tom Curtis Regatta, a 4th place finish at the Top 9 Invitational, and a 1st place finish at Navy Spring Women's.

Prior to Navy: Graduated from Rockbridge County High School in 2012. Four-year member of the lacrosse and cross country teams at Rockbridge. Also competed on the swimming team. Was the team captain and MVP of the lacrosse team as a senior and earned all-region honors. Also captained the cross country team. Member of the National Honor Society, Scuba Club and Honor Congress. Daughter of David and Jennifer Hough. Father, David, is a retired colonel in the USMC. Both parents work at the Virginia Military Institute. Majoring in Nuclear Engineering.
