Navy Intercollegiate Sailing Competes in Three Regattas

Navy sailed at Old Dominion, Hampton and Roger Williams this past weekend.

As a Freshman: Michael competed in 10 events during his first year at Navy as a skipper. Some of his top finishes include a second place finish at the Central Fall Number 1, a third place finish at the MAISA Match Racing Championship, and a second place finish at the Georgetown Team Race.

Prior to Navy: Graduated from Corona del Mar High School in 2012. Attended the Portsmouth Abbey Prep School in 2012-13. Four-year member of the sailing team at Corona del Mar and served as the captain as a senior. Also competed on the cross country team. Son of Nick and Maureen Madigan. Father graduated from the Naval Academy in 1981 and was a member of the intercollegiate sailing team. Brother to teammate, Jimmy Madigan. Majoring in Ocean Engineering.
