Intercollegiate Sailing Competes at the Charleston Women's Regatta

Mids place 11th out of 14 teams.

As a Sophomore: Molly sailed in nine events her sophomore year as a crew for both the Coed and Women’s team. She had three top-five finishes with a second place finish in B division at Central Fall. She also sailed MAISA Fall Women’s and helped the team qualify for the Atlantic Coast Championship.

As a Freshman: Molly competed in 6 events as a crew during her first year at Navy. Some of her top finishes include a 3rd place finish in the Central Fall Number 2, a 4th place finish at the Tom Noble Team Race, and a 4th place finish at Navy Spring Women's.

Prior to Navy: Graduated from the Tabor Academy in 2013, where she was a member of the sailing team. She won a national championship at Tabor and two New England Championships in team racing. Was involved in Gifts to Give, China Care Club, Peer Counseling, String Orchestra and served as a sailing instructor. Daughter of Gary Hanson and Susan Honan. Mother, Susan, is a 1984 graduate of the Naval Academy and competed on the track and field team. Majoring in Oceanography.
