IC Sailing Hosts Navy Fall Interconference Regatta

Mids compete in two other regattas.

As a Freshman: Charlie competed in six events during his first year at Navy. He competed as a skipper as well as a heavy crew in coed sailing. His memorable finishes include a fourth at the War Memorial as a heavy crew and first in the SUNY Fall regatta as a skipper in B division.

Prior to Navy: Graduate of Lyme-Old Lyme High School class of 2011, served as captain of baseball and sailing teams. Started sailing Optis out of Niantic Bay Yacht Club in Niantic, Conn. Went on to race 420's nationally, winning top youth boat at 2009 C420 Nationals and internationally, finishing top American boat at 2010 I-420 Jr. Europeans. Also dabbles in jazz piano.

Personal: Son of David and Nina Peck. Has an older sister Sarah (20), who sails for Dartmouth College and a younger brother, Dave (16). Majoring in Naval Architecture.
