Six Intercollegiate Sailors Receive MAISA All-Academic Team Honors

Team members must have a GPA of 3.5 or above.

As a Sophomore: Peter continued to serve the team as a well rounder player, having starts as a skipper and crew in dinghies and starts in a laser as well ... he competed in seven regattas as a skipper, five regattas as a crew, and was a reserve heavy air specialist in six regattas including ICSA Team Racing and Coed Fleet Racing Nationals ... some of his best results include a third at the Tom Curtis Memorial, and a Victory at the Team Race Challenge. .. Peter also finds success when he is in the classroom and was named to the All MAISA Academic Team.

As a Freshman: Peter sailed in 11 events his freshman year including two National Championships in Newport R.I. ... He had four top-five finishes. Peter finished top three at the MAISA Laser elimination, The New York Maritime Fall Open and Captain Joe Prosser Trophy, which qualified the team for Nationals.

Prior to Navy: Grew up in Charleston, S.C. Graduated from Academic Magnet High School in 2014 ... Sailed 420's, Lasers and Lightnings while growing up ... Also participated in basketball and lacrosse ... Son of Patrick Hogan and Kathy Edwards ... Brother to Katie.
