As a Sophomore: Tyler competed in seven regattas as a skipper ... his best results were a third-place finish in both the Washington College Team Race and the Hanbury Trophy Team Race.

As a Freshman: Tyler competed in six regattas as a skipper and three regattas as a crew during his first season at the Naval Academy ... Some of his finishes include a third place at the Tom Curtis Memorial and fourth place at the Charleston Spring Coed.

Prior to Navy: Graduated from Portsmouth High School, R.I. in 2015 ... was a member and captain of the sailing team at Portsmouth, as well as a member of the cross country and ice hockey teams ... sailed Lasers out of Sail Newport in national and international regattas ... son of Rick and Carline Fleig ... majoring in systems engineering.
