Cantillo grew up playing football and running track, but spent a great deal of time on the water driving boats of all kinds. He learned to sail in middle school aboard Optis. While on VOST, he has served as bowman and main trimmer on Colgates, as well as main trimmer, mastman, and helmsmen aboard various Navy 44’s. While on VOST, Chris has competed in various events including Annapolis to Newport Race, Marion to Bermuda Race, and the NYYC Annual Regatta. Played football and ran track in high school. Hobbies include fishing and boating on the Gulf of Mexico. Majoring in aerospace engineering.
