Davis grew up playing football, baseball, and indoor and outdoor track while sailing occasionally in the summer on sunfish and JY15s. He began trimming main on Colgate 26s and moved on to trimming main onboard Navy 44s, TP-52 Hooligan, and the Custom Ker-50 Wahoo as well as skippering the J105s Dreadnought and Avenger. He has competed in many events including Port of LA Harbor Cup, Charleston SCOR, Larchmont IOR, the Kennedy Cup, NYYC Annual Regatta, Annapolis to Newport, and Block Island Race Week. Majoring in oceanography.
