At Navy: During his summers on the Offshore Team, he sailed three consecutive years on the Naval Academy’s TP52s Corsair and Constellation ... moving through the ranks beginning as Junior Crew to Watch Captain and finally XO, he competed as grinder, headsail and mainsail trimmer, and offshore driver ... on both of the 52 footers, he and his crews sailed against tough fields of pro sailors in events such as Annapolis-to-Newport Race, NYYC Annual Regatta, Block Island Race Week, Annapolis Fall IRC Regatta and Newport-to-Bermuda Race.

High School / Personal: Grew up on and around the Chesapeake Bay and Academy.
