Navy Offshore Sailing Competes in CBYRA

CHESAPEAKE BAY -- The Navy offshore sailing team had five crews competing in the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association Annapolis Race Week this past weekend. This was the first competition of the fall season.

The best performance was by Bryan Weisberg who led his eight-man crew to second place overall out of 12 in the PHRF class A2 aboard the Navy 44 Defiance. Steve Jaenke skippered the 44 Integrity to fourth in the same class.

John Driesslein skippered our J105 Allegiance to eighth out of 17 in the J105 class while John Watkins skippered Dreadnought to 13th overall in the same class. Andrew Shea skippered Seawolf to fifth out of five boats in PHRF A0.

Next up for the team is the Spirit Rider Regatta this coming weekend in New York.
