Navy Rifle Outscores MIT and Wentworth
Carol Boyd showed improvement in smallbore, scoring a 569.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Steven Frazier and Ryan Williams won medalist honors to lead the Navy rifle team to a victory over MIT and Wentworth on Saturday afternoon. The wins improve Navy's dual-meet record to 3-0 overall.
The Midshipmen totaled a 4576 overall score to outshoot MIT (4400) and Wentworth (4148). Navy tallied a 2273 in smallbore and a 2303 in air rifle.
"There is not much to be said about today. We just have to get better," said Navy head coach Bill Kelley. "We got solid improvement from Carol Boyd and Steven Frazier in smallbore, but we need to improve all of our scores all the way around and shoot the way we can."
In air rifle, the Mids tallied a 2303, led by Williams with a 581. Frazier scored a 579, Boyd totaled a 572 and Paulson fired a 571.
Navy will compete in the President's Trophy next weekend against Army, Coast Guard and Air Force. Action will take place in West Point, N.Y., beginning next Saturday at 9:00 am.
