• Lone Navy hitter to record a five-hit performance on the year, as he went 5-for-5 with two runs scored against Holy Cross (4/26)
• Racked up six multi-RBI performances
• In seven games against Holy Cross, he hit at a .438 (14-for-32) clip with seven runs scored and four RBIs
• Smashed a home run in back-to-back at bats against UMBC (4/8) to become just the second freshman in school history to go deep twice in the same game, joining Terry Cook's two-longball performance against Towson State on 4/30/74
• Went 4-for-6 with three runs scored and two RBIs at Maryland-Eastern Shore (3/13)
• Recorded a double in three-straight games between 4/22-4/26
• Came just a triple short of the cycle against both Bucknell (4/19) and Delaware State (4/26)

High School:
• Attended First Colonial High School, where he earned two letters in baseball
• Also lettered in football and basketball
• Helped baseball squad to a third-place finish in the state as a junior
• Baseball team was crowned Eastern Region and Beach District champions
• Named all-district third baseman in 2005
• As team captain, he batted .375 with a home run and 15 RBIs

• Brother, Mark, was a four-year member of the Navy baseball team from 2005-08
• Father, Mark, is a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy and Class of 1980 graduate of the Naval Academy
• Grandfather (late), Dave Smalley, was an Assistant AD, basketball coach and 1957 graduate of the Naval Academy
• Uncle, Danny, also graduated from the Naval Academy in 1987
• Majoring in economics
