2015 (Sophomore):
• After a non-descript freshman season as a backup corner infielder, he transitioned to the mound as a sidearm reliever with outstanding results
• Named to watch list for National Pitcher of the Year in late April; one of 46 candidates
• One of 10 NCAA Division I relievers with seven or more wins and less than 50.0 innings pitched; one of three with 100.0% winning percentage
• Posted the lowest ERA in the Patriot League amongst relief pitchers with more than 20 innings pitched
• Ranked in the top-10 for Patriot League hurlers in four different categories: first in games finished (17), second in total appearances (24), second in victories (7) though tops amongst relievers and tied for third in saves (4)
• After allowing two runs (one earned) over his first two outings only was touched up for a run once, versus Delaware State (3/4), over the next 10 times called on in relief during the span of Feb. 25 to March 28; helped drop his ERA to a season-low 0.73 as a result
• Between March 11 and May 3, ERA was never higher than 1.20 (April 5)
• Totaled 43 strikeouts over 45.1 innings pitched, including three or more in eight different contests with a high of four coming on four separate occasions
• Possesses a durable arm that threw 2.0 or more innings in 13 of 24 games, including 4.1 versus both Air Force (3/1) and Towson (3/11)
• Second-lowest batting average against on Navy’s staff with a .232 mark and just six extra-base hits allowed
• A strong competitor with two outs on the scoreboard, he allowed opponents to post just a .135 batting average (7-52); tops on the team
• Took advantage of his positional background and fielded 23 chances with errorless results, including four grounders to the mound versus Air Force (3/1)

2014 (Freshman):

• Appeared in 9 games with two starts at DH
• Made collegiate debut as a pinch hitter versus Washington College (3/10) and first start versus UMBC (3/12)
• Recorded first career hit against UMES (4/8) and first RBI at Delaware State (4/23)
• Finished first season with 2 hits in 16 at bats
• Drew four walks to help give him a .300 on-base percentage
• Fielded all 7 chances as a relief 3B cleanly

High School:

• Varsity letterwinner at Flower Mound High School for Danny Wallace
• Named to Rawlings All-Region team in 2013: Texas Region Honorable Mention
• Honored on the First Team All-District squad for 5-5A as a senior in 2013
• Also lettered in football at Flower Mound, earning Second Team All-District honors as a WR in 2012

• Three family members participated in collegiate athletics: father Ed played baseball at Otero Junior College, mother Jacquie played basketball at Midwestern State University and brother Josh played football at Mount Union
