• Just six of the 55 hits he surrendered were extra-base hits
• Earned his first collegiate win by coming out of the bullpen against Delaware State (2/19) as he gave up no runs off just two hits, struck out four and walked one in 4.2 innings of work
• Pitched a complete game in his second career start, shutting out Lehigh (4/4); stuck out five batters and walked one while allowing four hits

• Attended Winter Springs High School, where he earned two letters in baseball and one in cross country
• Over his final-two years, he went 8-5 with a 1.55 ERA over 85.2 innings with just 19 walks and 115 strikeouts
• Served as baseball team captain during his senior season
• Finished his senior year with a 5-4 mark and a 1.85 ERA in 56.2 innings with only nine walks (1.11 per seven innings) and 81 strikeouts (10.01 per seven innings)
• As a junior, he went 3-1 with a 0.97 ERA in 29.0 innings with 10 walks and 34 strikeouts
• Helped his AAU team, Chet Lemon's Juice, to a state title in 2008
