ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy's (22-9, 4-0 in the Patriot League) baseball doubleheader with Lafayette (13-10, 4-0 in the Patriot League) scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to the overnight snowfall and wet field conditions at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. The two teams will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader on both Sunday and Monday afternoons.
GameTracker will be available for all four games of the series and Navy All-Access, an online subscription available for $6.95 per month, will provide audio coverage of Sunday's doubleheader, with Joe Miller calling the action.
This week's four-game set represents the first matchup of two undefeated teams in the Patriot League after the opening weekend since the league adapted its weekend format in 1995. The Midshipmen are currently on a six-game winning streak, averaging 10.0 runs per game over the past-two weeks. The Leopards make the trip down to Annapolis having won each of their last-five contests, including a four-game sweep of preseason league favorite Army.
Navy and Lafayette were picked to finish in a tie for second place in the Patriot League preseason poll. Last year, the Mids and the Leopards split a four-game set at the Class of 1978 Stadium in Easton, Pa.
