ANNAPOLIS, Md. - After a Wednesday postponement, the Navy baseball team will now play four games in four days at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium in the program's final weekend before conference action. A rescheduled bout with Maryland Eastern Shore on Thursday kicks off the busy weekend before the Rider Broncs come down from New Jersey for a three-game series from Friday through Sunday. Thursday and Friday's games are set for 2 p.m. first pitches, while the two weekend tilts get going at 1 p.m. on each of Saturday and Sunday.
The Past Week
Navy played a four-game home series versus NJIT this past Saturday and Sunday ... The Mids and Highlanders split doubleheaders on both days with Navy winning game one on Saturday by a score of 4-0 and again in Sunday's game two, 7-1 ... NJIT's victories came in Saturday's game two (7-1) and Sunday's game one (4-1).
Statistically, Navy hit .238 with 13 runs scored, eight doubles, one home run and 12 RBIs, while posting a .313 on-base percentage over the four games ... On the mound, eight pitchers saw action and together they combined for a 2.53 ERA over 32.0 innings with 35 hits, 12 runs (nine earned), 11 walks and 20 strikeouts ... Opponents hit a combined .276 versus Midshipmen pitching this past week.
Individually speaking, the offensive trio of DH Liam Lowery (.400, 1 R, 4 H, 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI), 3B Jacob Williamson (.357, 1 R, 5 H, 2 2B, 3 RBI) and 2B Zach Biggers (.357, 2 R, 5 H, 1 2B, 1 RBI) led the way for Navy ... RHP Noah Song (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 7.0 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 5 K) and RHP Jared Leins (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 4.0 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 K, 1 SV) highlighted the strong statline put together by the Mids' pitching staff last week.
For his complete game shutout versus NJIT in Saturday's first game, Song was noted on the Patriot League's Honor Roll.

In the last meeting between the two clubs on April 12, 2017, Navy leaned on a its offense to post a 6-0 lead through three innings, as well as a strong first collegiate start by Nicholas Elder before pulling away further from the Hawks in Princess Anne.
After a quiet first inning, Navy’s bats kicked into gear in the top of the second as the Mids sent nine men to the plate and scored five runs on six hits. That five-run lead would be all the Elder would need as he kept the Hawks off the scoreboard for his entire four-inning appearance as the Mids continued to build out their initial advantage.
The offensive trio of Logan Knowles, Travis Blue and Stephen Born combined for eight hits with five runs scored and five RBIs.
