CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Navy junior first baseman Kash Manzelli was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Monday. It is the first time Manzelli has garnered the honor in his career.

Manzelli became the first Midshipman since Jeff Bland in 2011 to go 5-for-5 in a game when he did so in Navy's 12-0 win over LIU-Brooklyn on Sunday in Auburndale, Fla. He also scored two runs and drove in a pair in the win.

The native of Dunwoody, Ga., is currently hitting .347 with eight RBIs in 14 games. He is the second Mid to be named Patriot League Player of the Week this season as David Wiedeman won the award on Feb. 18.

Navy will return to action on Tuesday against Valparaiso and 10 a.m.
