Navy Begins Patriot League Play With Road Meeting At Bucknell
The Navy baseball team will begin its 2014 Patriot League campaign with a four-game series in Lewisburg, Pa. against the Bucknell Bison ... Always a formidable league foe, the Bison took three of four games last season in Annapolis ... Bucknell comes into the weekend following a doubleheader split with Penn State on Sunday ... The Mids (T1) and Bison (4th) were both selected to qualify for the Patriot League postseason according to the coaches’ poll that was voted on prior to the season.

Reaching Base on the Regular
After sophomore OF Robert Currie saw his 20-game streak for reaching base safely (16 H, 2 BB, 2 HBP) come to a halt with an 0-for-4 showing versus Air Force earlier in the season, freshman SS Travis Blue has grabbed the baton and reached base in 16 (12 H,  3 BB, 1 HBP) before seeing his streak come to an end on March 23 vs. Princeton in Game 2 ... Currie has regained his spot as the holder of Navy’s longest streak as he’s now at 14 games (10 H, 2 HBP, 2 BB).
