Navy Set For Semifinals in Fourth Straight Patriot League Tournament
The payoff for a dramatic playoff push begins on Saturday as the Navy baseball team will be in Patriot League Semifinal action in Lewisburg, Pa. versus Bucknell ... After beginning league play with an 0-4 series versus these same Bucknell Bison, Navy fought its way into the fourth-seed with a league mark of 9-11 ... Competing in the Patriot League tournament for the fourth time in four years, the Mids will look to recreate their 2011 route to the NCAA's with a first round series win versus Bucknell ... The two programs have won three of the last six automatic bids as Navy was the 2011 tournament champion, while Bucknell won in 2008 and 2010
All four of the Patriot League's major award winners will be in Lewisburg as Player of the Year Kash Manzelli and Pitcher of the Year Anthony Parenti suit up for the Mids. The Bison's Fr. OF Brett Smith took home the Rookie of the Year award, while Head Coach Scott Heather was Coach of the Year ...
