The Navy baseball team had seven student-athletes named to the sport's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the conference today (June 26). Chris Campbell, Jack Keller, Matt Kilby, Kash Manzelli, Dallas Redden, Joel Rinehart and Johnny Schoberl were all recognized on this year's academic honor roll.
The seven honorees are the most Navy has had named to the Patriot League Honor Roll since joining the conference. To be eligible for the sport's academic honor roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester .
For the second consecutive spring semester, Keller posted a 4.00 GPA to again earn a spot on the honor roll. The rising junior and mechanical engineering major was one of just three players in the league to produce a perfect GPA in the spring.
Kilby, a rising senior pitcher, is now a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection. He is a mechanical engineering major and posted a 3.27 GPA in the spring; he is one of six players in team history to be a three-time honor roll selection.
Schoberl graduated in May with a degree in oceanography and posted a 3.44 GPA during the spring semester. He is a two-time honor roll selection and was also voted to the Academic All-Patriot League Team this season.
Campbell and Rinehart also graduated in May and were both named to the honor roll for the first time in their careers. Campbell, an international relations major, had a 3.2 GPA during the spring, while Rinehart sported a 3.4 GPA in mechanical engineering.
Manzelli earned a 3.2 GPA this past spring in economics and Redden, a rising junior, posted a 3.75 GPA in international relations.
In total, there were a combined 60 student-athletes on this year's Patriot League Baseball Academic Honor Roll.
