2014-15 -- SENIOR:
• Team captain.
• Received the team's Rear Admiral Ronald Marryott Award.
• Played in 15 games with one start.
• Averaged 1.9 points in 4.7 minutes per game.
• Hit a 3-pointer against Northeastern on Nov. 22.
• Scored a season-high 14 points, all in the first half, in Navy's win over VMI on Dec. 9.
• Alter also had a career-high four rebounds and three assists against VMI.
• He drilled three 3-pointers against VMI.
• Was 4-of-6 from the field against VMI and 3-of-5 on 3-pointers.
• Had season-highs in points and minutes (19) against VMI.
• Earned the start on Senior Day in win over Holy Cross on Feb. 22.
• Hit two 3-pointers in the game's first five minutes and finished with six points against Holy Cross.
• Scored Navy's final two points of the 2015 season when he made a layup with 13 seconds left against Colgate in the Patriot League Quarterfinals on March 5.
• Played in 80 career games at Navy.
• Named to the 2015 NABC Allstate Good Works Team along with Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon, Texas A&M's Jordan Green, Appalachian State's Michael Obacha and Santa Clara's Dominic Romeo.

2013-14 - JUNIOR:
• Played in 22 games.
• Averaged 1.8 points in 7.3 minutes per game.
• Scored eight points and made two 3-pointers in Navy's season opener at Towson on Nov. 8.
• Scored six points on two 3-pointers against Goucher on Nov. 13.
• Tallied six points and two rebounds in Navy's 68-50 win at Binghamton on Nov. 16.
• Played a season-high 17 minutes and scored eight points with a career-best four assists at Holy Cross on Feb. 23.
• Made 10 3-pointers on the season and was 8-of-10 (.800) from the free throw line.
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year.

2012-13 - SOPHOMORE:
• A sparkplug off the bench, Alter had a strong sophomore campaign, appearing in 27 games and averaging 4.0 points per game and having a 10-to-8 (1.25) assist-to-turnover ratio. He finished fifth on the team in scoring (4.0 ppg) and third in three-pointers made (29) despite ranking ninth on the team in minutes.
• Was named the recipient of the Kevin Sinnett Academic Achievement Award and the Rear Admiral Marryott Award at the team banquet.
• Was also named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll after recording a 3.81 GPA during the spring championship season.
• After averaging just 1.6 points per game and shooting 4-of-14 (.286) from long distance in his first 11 appearances, Alter averaged 5.6 points per game and went 25-of-71 (.352) from three-point range in his last 16 games.
• Broke out in a big way by scoring a career-high 18 points on six three-pointers with a career-high three assists in just 10 minutes against Norfolk State. Nearly led Navy back from a 26-point halftime deficit, cutting the lead to five points with 10 seconds left before falling by six.
• Also added 14 points (4-of-5 three-pointers) and drew three big charges in the second half of a 59-50 win over Army on the road.
• Scored 15 points in a road loss at Patriot League champion Bucknell and averaged 4.9 points per game in league contests.
• Had at least one three-pointer in 15 games this year and shot 81.0 percent from the free throw line (17-of-21), the second-best percentage on the team.

2011-12 - FRESHMAN:
• Alter appeared in 16 games with one start, coming in the season opener against Longwood, becoming just the third freshman to start at point guard in a season opener, joining Corey Johnson (2004-05) and Bruce Grooms (1976-77).
• Averaged 1.1 ppg, 0.6 rpg and 0.4 apg for the season with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.00 (6-to-6) for the season.
• Dished out all six of his assists (against just two turnovers) in the season's first seven games.
• In the last 12 appearances, he scored just seven points, grabbed five rebounds and had just three assists.
• Tallied a season-high five points against Penn State Altoona, Quinnipiac and Bucknell in the Patriot League Tournament, connecting on three-pointers against Penn State Altoona, Quinnipiac and Bucknell.
• Dished out two assists against Tulane in just nine minutes.
• Started the season 2-of-7 from the field in the first four games, but went just 1-of-12 over his last 12 appearances.

• Alter was a 2011 graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven High School, lettering four times at point guard. Burst onto the scene late during his senior year, committing to Navy after a strong postseason run.
• Led R-FH to an 18-8 record as a senior and the school's first appearance in the Shore Conference Tournament final, averaging 16.7 points, 6.9 assists and 3.3 steals per game.
• Was named first-team all-conference and all-state and set the school record for most career three-pointers made.
• Played best in the clutch, making several big shots and plays at key moments late in the game during R-FH's postseason run, including a three-pointer with a minute left and his team up one in the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals. In the conference tournament final, Alter scored 24 of his team's 35 points.
• Shot 79 percent from the free throw line on 130 attempts and made a school-record 62 three-pointers during the season.
• Was a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Key Club, Peer Leadership and was a Ronald McDonald Jr. board member.

• Son of John and Janet Alter. His father, John, wrestled at Furman while his grandfather, William Alter (1954), and cousin, Lindsey Bellomy (2004), both graduated from the Academy.
• Alter ran and organized a charity stickball tournament in Rumson.
• Nicknamed Pookie.
• An outstanding student, Alter has been named to the Superintendent's List four times and to the Commandant's List six times.
• Majoring in economics.
