As a Junior
Avworo played in 29 games with 28 starts, missing the Long Island contest because of a hand injury ... ranked third on the team in scoring (8.2 ppg) and led the Patriot League and ranked 14th nationally in asissts (5.83 apg) ... his 169 assists tied for the sixth most in a season in school history ... recorded three double-doubles on the year and was named Patriot League Player of the Week (Feb. 8) after a monster 17-point (career high), 10-assist effort against Bucknell (Feb. 5) ... in the first game against Bucknell, his lay-up high off the glass with a minute left gave Navy a lead it would not give up ... his 13 assists against Holy Cross (Feb. 20) were the most for a Navy player ever in a Patriot League game, while adding 14 points ... dished out at least 10 assists six different times in 2009-10 ... in league games only, averaged 10.2 ppg and 6.4 apg with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.28 (89-to-39) ... scored in double figures eight different times during Patriot League play ... matched his career high with 17 points against Lafayette (Feb. 13), while going 6-of-10 from the field ... his 148 free throw attempts were the seventh most in the Patriot League ... was a candidate for the Cousy Award, given to the nation's top point guard.
As a Sophomore
Avworo had an immediate impact for the Navy basketball team, starting in all 30 games at point guard and ranking fifth in the Patriot League in assists (3.63 apg) ... he averaged 5.2 ppg, 3.2 rpg and 3.6 apg on the season ... in games that he led the team in assists, Navy went 10-3 ... Avworo enjoyed playing in Alumni Hall, where he averaged 6.1 ppg, 4.7 apg and 3.1 rpg, compared to 4.3 ppg, 2.6 apg and 3.2 rpg on the road ... scored 12 points and dished out eight assists in a win over Wofford ... had nine assists in the regular-season finale against Colgate ... scored 11 points in the Patriot League Tournament loss to Colgate, making all seven of his free throw attempts ... dished out seven assists in just 22 minutes against nationally-ranked Villanova ... scored eight points with seven rebounds in his first Army-Navy game.
As a Freshman (At Idaho)
Avworo was one of the top freshmen in the Western Athletic Conference, averaging 3.6 ppg, 3.1 apg and 2.6 rpg, while starting 24-of-31 games at the University of Idaho ... was one of four Vandals to play in all 31 games and his 24 starts were the second most on the team ... his 95 assists were tops on the squad and Avworo recorded an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.30 ... ranked second on the squad with 21 steals ... recorded a strong floor game in an overtime loss against Fresno State (Feb. 3) with five points, nine rebounds and eight assists ... dished out eight assists in a loss to Utah State (Feb. 10) ... scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting with five assists and no turnovers while playing all 40 minutes against Idaho State (Dec. 6).
