JUNIOR (2011): Connolly appeared in eight games, scoring two points with a steal in seven minutes during the season ... scored his lone points in the season opener at Texas, scoring on a nifty, spinning lay-up in the lane ... grabbed a steal against Holy Cross ... finished the season 1-of-3 from the field and 0-of-2 from three-point range ... ran the scout team point guard position with much success during practice.
SOPHOMORE (2010): Connolly had a good season in a reserve role, dishing out 12 assists in just 85 minutes of action ... earned first career start in place of an injured O.J. Avworo against Towson, and responded with four assists, two points and two steals in just 17 minutes ... had five assists with just one turnover in 13 minutes against Long Island ... recorded a 1.33 assist-to-turnover ratio (12-to-9) during the season ... attempted first career free throws against American (Feb. 24, 2010) ... scored first career points against Towson (11-24-09) ... grabbed steals in three straight games from Nov. 21 to Nov. 28 ... missed seven games midway through the year with a shoulder injury.
FRESHMAN (2009): Connolly appeared in eight games, including five in Patriot League action ... did not register any statistics on the season ... saw action in crunch-time against Elon, Bucknell and Army ... had a sensational year running the scout team in practice last year, and was one of the most improved players on the squad.
HIGH SCHOOL: Connolly was a three-year letterwinner in basketball at North Allegheny High School, graduating in 2008 ... led team to a 23-3 record as a senior and the Section 3 Championship ... as a sophomore, helped team to an 18-6 mark and the W.P.I.A.L. Quad A title ... as a senior, served as the team captain and was the W.P.I.A.L. Section 3 Quad A MVP and first-team selection ... was a member of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette North Fabulous Five ... in 2007, was the Pittsburgh Basketball Club summer league MVP ... also lettered once in football at strong safety ... was a member of the National Honor Society and was the vice-president of the Key Club ... was honored as a Top Ten W.P.I.A.L. Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
MISCELLANEOUS: Son of Shaun and Jeannie Connolly ... brother, Jack, currently plays football at Dickinson College (D-III) ... his high school, North Allegheny, was ranked No. 12 in the United States Department of Education's "Top 100 High Schools in the Nation" ... majoring in history.
