2012-13 - SOPHOMORE:
• Smoot appeared in 23 games with seven starts, averaging 1.5 points per game and 2.1 rebounds per game.
• Smoot started the first four games of the year, averaging 4.8 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game before an injury forced him to miss the next four games. He would also start games against Army, American and Colgate later in the season.
• Before his injury, he scored 19 points with 23 rebounds in four games. After his injury, he scored 15 points with 25 rebounds in 19 games.
• Narrowly missed a double-double against Binghamton, scoring eight points with nine rebounds in just 20 minutes of action.
• Scored a career-high nine points with seven rebounds and two blocked shots in 16 minutes in the season opener against Marymount.
• In his first return to his home state, Smoot scored seven points (3-of-3 FGs) with three rebounds in just 15 minutes against IPFW.

2011-12 - FRESHMAN:
• Smoot showed great improvement over his freshman season, appearing in 18 games and averaging 0.8 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game. Also blocked four shots in 147 minutes of action.
• Played in each of the last 13 games after appearing in just five of the first 16 contests.
• Scored four points on two thunderous dunks in his first career action against Penn State Altoona.
• Tallied four points and four rebounds against NCAA Tournament third-round participant Lehigh.
• In the final two games of the season, both against Bucknell, Smoot averaged 17.5 minutes per game, 1.0 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game, including a team-best and season-high five rebounds in the Patriot League Tournament.
• Four of his six made field goals were dunks.

• Smoot lettered twice at the center position for Crown Point High School, graduating in 2011.
• A late bloomer, Smoot didn't pick up a basketball until he was a 6-5 seventh-grader, but had a strong senior season being named all-conference, while bringing tremendous upside potential to Navy.
• Has the wingspan of a person that stands 7-4.
• Averaged 8.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg and 2.4 bpg as a junior in the 2009-10 season and 9.6 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 2.5 bpg as a senior.
• Ranked the ninth-best center in the state of Indiana.
• Helped Crown Point to 18-4 record and a state top-15 ranking, where he was a teammate of University of Michigan's Spike Albrecht.
• Named to Hoosier Basketball Magazine's list of top players in the state of Indiana.

• Son of Michael and Sue Smoot.
• Majoring in oceanography.
