2011-12 - FRESHMAN: Smoot showed great improvement over his freshman season, appearing in 18 games and averaging 0.8 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game ... also blocked four shots in 147 minutes of action ... played in each of the last 13 games after appearing in just five of the first 16 contests ... scored four points on two thunderous dunks in his first career action against Penn State Altoona ... tallied four points and four rebounds against NCAA Tournament third-round participant Lehigh ... in the final two games of the season, both against Bucknell, Smoot averaged 17.5 minutes per game, 1.0 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game, including a team-best and season-high five rebounds in the Patriot League Tournament ... four of his six made field goals were dunks ... started the season 4-of-5 from the field, but finished just 2-of-6.
