Navy Defeats Penn State-Altoona, 88-54

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - J.J. Avila didn't miss a shot in scoring 14 points, and helped lead Navy over Penn State-Altoona 88-54 on Sunday.
Avila was 6-for-6 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line, as Navy shot 56.5 percent for the game (35 of 62).
The Midshipmen (2-0) dominated the Division III Cougars inside, outscoring them 52-8 in the paint, and winning the battle of the boards 41-23.
The Midshipmen were 20 of 31 in the first half, while holding the Cougars to 28.6 percent shooting (6 of 21) en route to a 49-21 lead at halftime.
Penn State-Altoona was led by Eric Sarra with 18 points. Jonathan Ross added 11 points for the Cougars, who turned the ball over 22 times, leading to 33 points by Navy.
