-- Navy dropped to 4-10 with the loss to Long Island ... Billy Lange is now 124-124 (.500) in his ninth year as a collegiate head coach ... Lange is now 85-105 (.447) in his seventh year at Navy ... Navy is 3-2 all-time against Long Island, dropping two in a row ... Lange fell to 6-5 (.545) against the Northeast Conference.
-- Navy is now 13-5 (.722) since the start of the 2008-09 season at home against non-conference opponents.
-- Navy has now shot 45.0 percent or better in six of the last eight games, but are just 3-5 in those eight games.
-- Navy has made just seven three-pointers (7-of-37) in the last two games ... Navy had made at least eight three-pointers in the previous nine games prior to the Elon contest.

-- Navy's freshmen class scored 53 points, surpassing a school record 49 points the class scored against Towson earlier this year (Nov. 24, 2010).
-- J.J. Avila recorded his sixth double-figure scoring game ... his double-double (21 p, 11 r) was the first for a Navy freshman since Greg Sprink had 14 points and 10 rebounds against Army on Feb. 6, 2005 ... his 11 rebounds were the most for a freshman since Sprink had 13 against Lehigh on Feb. 19, 2005 ... his 21 points gave him 131 for the season, the 30th most by a freshman in school history.
-- Jordan Sugars recorded his fifth 20-point game of the season and 13th of his career ... Sugars also grabbed a season-best nine rebounds ... Sugars has all five of his 20-point games in the last six games ... Sugars moved into a tie for 39th place on the career scoring list with 737 career points ... he also now has 386 career rebounds ... Sugars' first-half three-pointer gave him 23 straight games with at least one three-pointer.
-- Brennan Wyatt tied a career high with 11 points and set a new career high with five assists ... Wyatt recorded his third career double-figure scoring game.
-- Thurgood Wynn tied a career high with five points, coming in just four minutes.
