Coming off its best non-conference record in years, Navy looks to continue its momentum on Saturday against Patriot League rival Bucknell in the league opener for both teams. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 pm and will be televised nationally by ESPNU with Bob Socci and John Feinstein calling all the action. On the radio waves, Pete Medhurst and Michael Heary will handled the Navy call on WNAV (1430 AM), WFED (1050 AM) and SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Channel 144). The game will not be streamed online due to contractual obligations between ESPNU and the Patriot League.
Navy enters the contest with an 11-4 record after Monday night's 66-62 victory over Elon. The win was Navy's third in a row and second straight over Southern Conference opponents, as it also defeated Wofford last Friday night, 75-70.
Four players were in double figures on Monday night, led by Chris Harris' 14 points. Kaleo Kina and Clif Colbert added 13 points and Adam Teague tallied 11. Colbert led the Mids with seven rebounds.
Bucknell enters the contest with a 3-11 overall record after falling to Cornell, 75-64, on Tuesday night. The Bison have lost five straight games against the 91st-toughest schedule in the country.
Bucknell trailed by just three at halftime, but Cornell, the Ivy League favorite, quickly pushed the lead to double-digits in the second half and led by as many as 22 points before the Bison rallied late.
