Saturday's Game Basics
Navy (8-16, 3-10 PL) will host Colgate (9-15, 3-10 PL) on Saturday at 7:00 PM in Alumni Hall. Navy and Colgate are currently in a three-way tie with Lafayette for eighth place in the Patriot League standings.

Free live video of the game will be available on the Patriot League Digital Network and live radio can be heard on WNAV 1430 AM / 99.9 FM and WFED 1500 AM. Pete Medhurst and Michael Heary will handle the broadcasting duties.

• Mascot Mayhem - Local mascots including the Oriole Bird and Poe from the Ravens will take part in a spirited halftime scrimmage!

• Bill's Game Room Presented by Buffalo Wild Wings - Join Bill the Goat in his game room of FUN starting at 5:30PM! Bill's Game room is a FREE event for all fans held in the Bo Coppedge Room in Alumni Hall. Inside the room will be games, a poster making station, an autograph session with the Navy Wrestling Team, a Balloon Twister, face painter and more!

Parking / Shuttle Information
Fans without Department of Defense credentials must park outside of the U.S. Naval Academy grounds. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5. Buses will run every 15 minutes starting one hour before the game and will continue running for one hour after the game's completion. Fans can also walk through the pedestrian gate (Gate 3) off of Maryland Ave.

 

 

Midshipmen Storylines
• Navy is coming off a 78-57 loss at Bucknell on Wednesday.
• Junior guard Brandon Venturini had 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
• Junior forward Worth Smith had 10 points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist.
• Sophomore Will Kelly had eight points, a career-high six blocked shots and four rebounds.
• Navy had earned a 79-57 win over Army last Saturday in the Star Game, but could not carry the momentum into the Bucknell contest.
• Smith leads Navy with 11.4 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.
• Venturini is second on the team with 10.6 points per game and averages a team-best 2.3 assists.
• Navy enters Saturday's game in a three-way tie for eighth place in the Patriot League standings with Colgate and Lafayette.
• Freshman guard Zach Fong has made a three pointer in nine straight games.
• Fong leads all Patriot League freshmen in three pointers made per game (1.9) and three-point field goal percentage (.419).
• Fong and Venturini share the team lead of 44 three pointers made.
• Head coach Ed DeChellis has tied Navy's win total from last season (8) and his three conference wins are the most since taking over at Navy prior to the 2011-12 season.
• Navy has made at least one three-pointer in 329 consecutive games.

Colgate Storylines
• The Raiders are 9-15 overall and 3-10 in the Patriot League.
• Colgate is coming off a 76-74 home loss to Boston U. on Wednesday.
• Senior forward Murphy Burnatowski had 27 points and hit six three pointers against Boston.
• Burnatowski leads the team with 14.6 points.
• Sophomore guard Austin Tillotson is second on the team with 13.1 points and is first with 4.1 assists.
• Tillotson was out for the Boston U. game.
• Colgate upset first-place American, 63-60, last Saturday in Washington, D.C.
• Colgate leads the Patriot League in three pointers made per game (8.9) and three-point field goal percentage (.400).
• The Raiders rank in the top-20 in the NCAA in both three pointers made and three-point field goal percentage.

Series History vs. Colgate
• Colgate holds a 30-24 lead in the all-time series but Navy is 14-12 in games played in Annapolis.
• Colgate has won five straight games in the series.
• Colgate defeated Navy, 63-41, in Hamilton on January 18.
• The Raiders scored on its first five possessions and opened the game on a 14-0 run over the first five minutes.
• Venturini had 11 points and five rebounds at Colgate and Fong added 10 points off the bench.

Looking Ahead
• Navy will next play at Lehigh on Wednesday, February 19.
• Navy lost to Lehigh in overtime, 68-66, in Annapolis on January 22.
• Lehigh enters Saturday's game at 6-7 in the Patriot League and in a tie for fifth place with Bucknell.
