­ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Naval Academy Athletic Association's marketing department has announced its promotion schedule for the 2008-09 men's basketball season. The team will play 14 home games, with the Mids' first home game sponsored by Comcast on Sunday, Nov. 16, against Howard at 1:00 pm. The squad will play five home games in a 16-day span from Nov. 16 to Dec. 2.

The Mids will tip off their season on November 16 by hosting Howard sponsored by Comcast at 1:00 pm. Fans have a chance following the game to "Meet The Mids", where the first 100 kids through the ticket gates will receive a free Navy basketball t-shirt and fans are invited to an autograph session following the contest. In addition, the game is also being promoted as Camper Reunion Day and Faculty and Staff Day.

Also back this year is the popular Family Night Out. The promotion, which will be held on November 18, November 29, January 21 and February 11, allows afamily of four to purchase four tickets, four Coke products and four Esskay hot dogs for just $24.

Two professional entertainment acts will also perform at a pair of games this season. On January 10 against Bucknell, the group Zooperstars, who were featured on the TV show, America's Got Talent, will entertain fans with their zany antics in part of the "fastest growing entertainment act in the country". In addition, the nationally-televised (ESPNU) contest against Bucknell (5:00 pm) will also be Alumni Night. An alumni game wll be played prior to the Midshipmen taking on Bucknell, which will be aired by ESPNU. The other professional act to appear at Alumni Hall will feature a performance from the group, Quick Change, who also appeared on America's Got Talent. Performing on February 28 against Colgate, Quick Change is a performance in which a performer or magician changes quickly within seconds from one costume into another costume in front of the audience.

Navy basketball season tickets are just $200 for Admiral's Row members (must be an Admiral's Row member of Blue and Gold), $130 for a reserved seat and $65 for students (high school and below). Season tickets include all 26 men's and women's home games to be played at Alumni Hall. Season ticket holders will receive exclusive benefits including a season-long pass to park on "The Yard" for all home games and access to email updates regarding game information. Fans will also have the option to purchase to tickets to watch the men's team battle ACC power Virginia Tech in the prestigious BB&T Classic in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 7.
