Knorr, a 6-3 guard from Concord, N.C., led Navy to a 54-49 decision over IPFW last Wednesday night with a career-high 15 points, one rebound and one steal in 19 minutes of action. After scoring just two points in the first half, Knorr exploded in a five-minute stretch during the second half to lift the Midshipmen to victory. With Navy leading 31-30 with just under 10 minutes to play, Knorr fueled an 18-6 Navy run with 13 of his 15 points during the span to push Navy's lead to 49-36 with just over four minutes to play.
For the contest, Knorr went 6-of-6 from the field, the most field goals made without a miss by a freshman in school history, including a 3-of-3 effort from long distance. The six field goals made without a miss were the sixth most in school history by any player and the three trifectas without a miss were also tied for the sixth most in school history by a single player.
Knorr ranks fourth on the team, and sixth among league freshmen, in scoring (5.3 ppg) while shooting 16-of-35 (.457) from the field and 12-of-29 (.414) from three-point range. His 12 trifectas are second on the squad and lead all Patriot League rookies.
Knorr and his teammates head to Monmouth on Wednesday for the second game of a three-game roadtrip that will wrap up Friday. The game will be broadcast on WNAV Radio (1430 AM, 99.9 FM) and SIRIUS Satellite Radio with Pete Medhurst handling the call courtside, beginning at 6:45 PM (ET).
