Navy's heavyweight crew team will compete in the Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges Regatta, Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. Trial heats will be raced in the morning, with finals to follow in the afternoon.

Navy's first varsity boat is ranked 12th in the latest EARC coaches poll, the second varsity is ranked 11th, the third varsity is ranked sixth, the first novice team is ranked eighth and the second novice is ranked fourth.

"We had a very veteran team last season with 10 seniors on our first two boats," said Navy head coach Rick Clothier. "This year our inexperience has showed throughout the season and it has taken us awhile to get settled, but our boats are currently moving as fast as they have all season.

"We are in some difficult heats this weekend, but I feel we are capable of pulling off a few surprises along the way."
