Heavyweight Crew to Race Wisconsin

Navy's heavyweight crew team will play host to Wisconsin in a series of races this Sunday morning on the Severn River.

The Buck Walsh Cup race between the first varsity crews will open the dual meet at 6 a.m., to be followed by seven additional races.

At the end of the meet, the Fisher Trophy will be awarded to the team accumulating the most total points on the day.

"This race is a major tune up for both teams for next weekend's intercollegiate championship regatta," said Navy head coach Rick Clothier.

Navy will participate in the Intercollegiate Rowing Championship, May 31 through June 2 on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
