U.S. Rowing:
• Competed for the U.S. National Team at the 2009 World Under-23 Championships in Racice, Czech Republic
• Rowing on the lightweight men's four without coxswain boat, he helped the Americans to a 10th-place finish in the event

High School:
• Attended Arcadia Valley High School, where he lettered in cross country (four), track (four), tennis (four) and basketball (two)
• Finished second at the state cross country championship as a senior to earn all-state accolades
• Placed 28th at the state championship in cross country during his junior season

• Son of Tertia and Edward King
• Born June 14, 1989, in Kempton Park, South Africa
• Majoring in honors oceanography
