The Navy lightweight crew team posted a sweep for the second-straight day, winning all of its races against Rutgers Sunday afternoon on the Raritan River in New Brunswick, N.J. The victories come one day after Navy won all of its races against Georgetown on the Severn River.

Navy's first varsity boat remained undefeated on the season with an eight-second victory over the Scarlet Knights, 6:13.4-6:21.4. Navy's top boat is perfect against 12 opponents this season.

The second varsity boat for Navy also had a strong row, beating its Rutgers foe by 15 seconds (6:17.5-6:32.2). Navy's first novice boat crossed the finish line in its race 12 seconds in front of Rutgers (6:08.9-6:20.7), while Navy placed first and second in the novice four race -- 7:10.4 and 7:16.2, respectively -- with both finishing ahead of Rutgers at 7:21.1.

"We raced very well today, especially after our strong races against Georgetown," said Navy lightweight head coach Rob Friedrich. "It should be an exciting day of racing Saturday against Harvard."

Navy will return to the Severn River Saturday morning when the Mids play host to Harvard in the Haines Cup.
