A Look Back at the 2017 Navy Football Season

Navy averaged a school-record 351.4 yds/gm in 2017, which was the second most in the country.

At Navy: Enters the fall as the backup kicker and punter ... had a remarkable sophomore campaign, going from a relative unknown on the sprint football team as a freshman to kicking the game-winning 46-yard field goal with 0.4 seconds remaining against Air Force ... missed the majority of his junior season due to injury ... will battle the incumbent, Matt Harmon, for the starting job this fall ... has earned one varsity letter.

2006: Saw action in four contests ... went 4-for-4 on extra points, but missed his lone field goal attempt, a 37-yarder, in the opener against East Carolina ... missed the UMass, Tulsa and UConn games with an injury ... came back against Stanford, making both of his field goal attempts (39, 30) and connecting on all four of his extra-point tries ... connected on two extra points in the win over Air Force ... in all, missed eight games with an injury, including the last six.

2005: Had a record-breaking sophomore season, connecting on a school-record 52 extra-points ... finished the year 52-of-53 on extra points, with his lone miss coming on a blocked attempt in the Poinsettia Bowl against Colorado State ... selected to the ECAC All-East Team ... finished the season 9-of-12 on field goal attempts ... connected on both of his field goals against Air Force, including a career-long 46-yarder with 0.4 seconds left to defeat the Falcons, 27-24 ... first-career field goal came on a 39-yarder in the third quarter against Stanford ... equaled a career best with two field goals (26, 20) against Kent State, then matched that with a pair (24, 31) of field goals against Rice ... kicked a 25-yard field goal and was 5-for-5 on extra points versus Temple ... connected on a 25-yard field goal against Colorado State to conclude the scoring in the Poinsettia Bowl ... hit all six PATs against Tulane ... was 3-for-3 on PATs against Notre Dame ... was 6-for-6 on PATs against Army.

2004: Starting kicker on the sprint football team ... earned First-Team All-Collegiate Sprint Football League honors ... won the John S. Degnan `52 Award for the Most Outstanding Freshman ... was second on the team with 48 points ... made six of his 10 field goal attempts and 30 of his 32 extra-point attempts on the season ... connected on a 49-yard field goal attempt against Army in the Pride Bowl ... kicked a 44-yard field goal against Penn ... made all three of his field goal attempts in Navy's 27-10 victory over Army in the CSFL Championship game.

High School / Personal: Won four varsity letters in football and soccer at the Glynn Academy ... originally recruited by Navy to play soccer ... high school soccer team was three-time region champions ... two-time all-region selection in football ... two-time all-region and defensive MVP in soccer ... team captain for both soccer and football his senior campaign ...
