At Navy: Postseason honors candidate ... elected co-captain by his teammates ... named preseason Third-Team All-American by Athlon ... second-leading returning tackler in the country (11.67) ... only Patrick Willis of Mississippi (12.80) averaged more tackles than Caldwell last year as a underclassman ... on the watch lists for the Lombardi Award, the Bednarik Award, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Ronnie Lott IMPACT Award ... cut out of the same mold as past Navy linebacker greats like Clint Bruce, Travis Cooley, Bobby McClarin and Lane Jackson ... the epitome of what a Navy football player should be--tough, hard-nosed and smart ... his squat of 560 pounds is tied for the top mark on the team ... has a great attitude and work ethic ... has earned two varsity letters.

2005: Had a remarkable season for the Mids, starting all 12 games, and leading Navy with 140 tackles ... his 140 tackles were the most for a Navy player since Javier Zuluaga's 144 in 1993, and the seventh most in Navy history ... ranked 10th in the country in tackles per game (11.67) ... selected to the ECAC All-East Team ... one-of-13 players nationally to record 20 tackles in a game when he had 21 against Air Force ... tallied 14 tackles four other times against Stanford, Duke, Notre Dame and Colorado State ... made 13 stops against Maryland ... also reached double-figure tackles in games against Rutgers (11), Rice (10) and Army (10) ... had nine tackles against Tulane ... had 1.5 tackles for a loss against Stanford and one against Notre Dame and Colorado State ... recorded sacks against Stanford and Duke ... one of the nation's leaders in forced fumbles with three, forcing them against Maryland, Air Force and Rutgers.

2004: Recorded 15 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss ... saw most of his action on special teams ... was in on three tackles in Navy's shutout win at Tulsa ... was in on one tackle against Vanderbilt ... contributed a career-high four tackles against Notre Dame ... made one tackle againt Delaware ... recorded a tackle for a loss against Tulane ... was in on two stops against Rutgers ... was in on a stop against Army ... made one tackle against New Mexico in the Emerald Bowl.

2003: Did not see any varsity action.

High School/Personal: Four-year letterwinner in football and lettered twice in track at Andrean High School in Gary ... football team was 26-4 and won two sectional, two regional and two semi-state titles his last two seasons ... a two-time all-state selection ...
