Rising Junior Quarterback Will Worth Named Winner Of The Admiral Mack Award

Worth is just the third quarterback to win the award

At Navy: Talented player who enters the fall as the starting quarterback ... has good speed and is a powerful runner ... has one of the strongest arms on the team ... hard worker who has stayed after practice to work on his passing every day for the past three years ... played slot back and returned kicks as a freshman ... has earned two varsity letters.

2005: Appeared in all 12 games, running for 160 yards and two touchdowns on 40 carries, and passing for 99 yards and a score ... also served as the holder on extra-point and field goal attempts ... saw first-career action at quarterback in the loss to Maryland, running for nine yards on three carries in the third quarter ... ran for a career-high 46 yards against Rice on five carries ... also scored a touchdown against the Owls ... was called into duty in the second half against Stanford, and led the Mids on a fourth-quarter touchdown drive ... completed 3-of-10 passes for 55 yards, all career highs ... served as the holder on Bullen's game-winning field goal against Air Force ... came off the bench in the second quarter to lead Navy to a scoring drive against Kent State, recording eight carries for 31 yards and his first-career touchdown ... also completed 2-of-3 passes for 27 yards against the Golden Flashes ... threw first- career touchdown pass against Notre Dame ... also ran five times for 26 yards against the Irish ... had seven carries for 37 yards against Army ... finished season with three carries for 21 yards against Colorado State in the Poinsettia Bowl.

High School/Personal: Earned two letters in baseball and basketball and three in football at Belleville-Althoff Catholic High School ... football team was 12-1 and made it to the state semifinals his senior year ... earned Honorable Mention All-State honors his senior year ... father, Charles, is in the Air Force ... cousin of former NBA great Charles Barkley ...
