Navy Football Service Assignments

Fifteen seniors will be commissioned 2nd Lieutenants in the United States Marine Corps (11 ground, four pilot), while 17 will be Ensigns in the United States Navy (eight surface warfare, two pilot, two flight officers, three submarines, one special warfare and one information warfare).

Navy's last five-game winning streak was in 2009 en route to a 10-4 record and a Texas Bowl win over Missouri.

• High School / Personal: A 2011 graduate of Lemon Bay High School, Laniewski attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2011-12 academic year ... a two-sport athlete who earned four letters in weight lifting and three in football ... served as team captain of the football team his senior year ... a two-time state qualifier and sectional champion in weight lifting (2010, `11) ... also took recruiting visits to Bucknell, Brown, Georgia Southern, Massachusetts and Yale ... serves as Vice President and is the co-founder of Think Pink, raising money for breast cancer ... member of the National Honor Society ... son of Clement and Lisa Laniewski ... majoring in international relations.
